As a Forward Deployed Engineer (m/w/d), you are in the middle of the field, right next to the users whose work you optimierst. You are testing processes on site, recognizing potentials, building solutions with AI-based development tools and accompanying them to productive operation. After a few weeks or months, you will continue to the next section, at the next location. The role is new and consciously hybrid: part engineering, part process understanding, part empowerment. You work closely with our platform teams as well as with existing programs such as CodeGB and the AI ambassador network. Identification and Priority of Digitization Potentials through Process Observation on Site in the Department Own-responsible development and implementation of productive applications directly in the user's working context using AI-based development tools Iterative validation and adaptation of solutions in ongoing use up to production maturity Transfer to the control operation including documentation, monitoring, data protection and operating costs, as well as transfer to the platform teams Perception of temporary operations in changing fields and at changing locations

Complete study of computer science, industrial informatics or engineering sciences or a comparable qualification Multiannual experience in software development, ideally with fullstack content (e.g. Python, TypeScript and .NET), as well as handling cloud and container environments (Azure, Kubernetes) Safe and reflected handling of AI-based development tools Ability to quickly capture specialist processes, ask the right questions and make a viable first design from unsharp requirements A sense of responsibility for the entire life cycle of a solution, not just for the prototype Communication strength and joy in empowering people without IT background readiness to travel within Germany Very good German and good English skills
