Tax and Finance Clerk

As a umbrella organisation, the German Consumer Center (vzbv) bundles the expertise of 16 consumer centers and more than 30 consumer policy associations – including over 2,000 organisations and seven million individual members – for a strong protection of consumers: in Germany. Around 250 employees are active in the heart of Berlin and Brussels. The main task of the association is to represent the interests of consumers: in Germany to politics, business and administration and to promote a fair and sustainable social and economic order. To strengthen our Budget and Finance team, we are looking for a:n Personnel:in taxes and finance (Full time, 39 hours per week, unlimited) The Budget and Finance team associated with the Central Services business unit is responsible for all matters within the framework of the financial management of the institutional budget and of third-party projects and taxes and consists of 6 colleagues.

You are the central contact person for our tax consulting company, financial authorities and internal employees in tax matters You independently process the tax issues and create decision templates for the performance level in coordination with the team management You create the tax accounts and tax returns in coordination with the team management You shall conduct tax-relevant files and prepare documents for audits You create and adapt the annual schedules for our business operations for the year You are involved in the creation and booking of internal billing documents, e.g. for overhead costs, rental costs and transfers within the scope of our projects You work in financial accounting, in particular in debitor accounting

You have a completed degree in economics (e.g. Bachelor) or comparable qualification with a tax focus; in the case of foreign educational qualifications, proof of recognition in Germany must be added. You have practical experience in financial accounting, ideally focusing on debitor accounting You bring well-founded knowledge of German tax law and are ready to work on new tax issues as needed You know the statutory requirements for accounting and accounting and apply them safely in everyday work You are open to new topics and are committed to new areas of responsibility You work independently and service-oriented
