(Senior) Network Engineer IP Backbone (m/f/d)

Defining network hierarchies, network planes and network topologies

Conception, development and integration of active network components in the Core Network of the 1&1 Versatel including the development of associated configuration specifications

Technical coordination, communication and control of manufacturers and technology partners

Creating, editing and evaluating technical tenders for selecting system techniques

Detection, initiation and tracking of scaling measures in the network with the aim of optimally utilising them

Coordination and taxation of cross-departmental or cross-departmental projects

Developing, performing and documenting laboratory tests to verify network components, software stands, technologies and overall solutions and to ensure their internal release

Study of electrical engineering/information technology or adequate technical training with relevant professional experience in the telecommunications industry Experience in handling Cisco and/or Juniper systems Knowledge of IP and MPLS network technologies Experience in the design of VoIP, data, and IPTV networks as well as the necessary QoS concepts Methodology and techniques in project management Structured, independent and conscientious operation Quick conception, analytical thinking and self-responsible work Target and solution-oriented thinking and action Good knowledge of German in word and writing
