Local reporter (m/f/d)

As an editor or editor, you are always close to the events that move our region and to the people who live here. Whether it's political decisions at local level, economic developments or cultural events, as editor or editor, you can access relevant information and promote public discourse. You report on the local events in the Peine, Gifhorn and Wolfsburg region – for print and digital. You research topics from politics, society, culture and sports and prepare them for target groups. You develop your own story ideas and convert them multimedia – from text to photo and video to social media formats. Your local network is close to people, institutions and events in your region. You work closely with the editorial team and actively contribute your ideas to daily planning.

Completed journalistic training, e.g. volunteers, journalists' school or comparable qualifications. First relevant professional experience in local or regional journalism is of advantage. Safe handling of digital editorial systems and social media. Very good knowledge of German in word and writing (C1/C2 level). High self-initiative, curiosity and a strong sense of relevant stories. Knowledge of the Peine, Gifhorn or Wolfsburg region is a plus.
