At the SOS Children's Village in Brandenburg, we are looking for an educator (m/w/d) for our full-time or part-time group (min. 30 - max. 38.5 hours/Where.) Your area of responsibility: As part of a dedicated six-member team, you will accompany up to eight young people aged 6 to 18. With trauma-sensitive work and deescaling methods, you can create stability and development opportunities - equipped with your own educational rooms, single rooms for the children, a fleet of vehicles and interchangeable services. In the team with other pedagogical professionals, you will support the children and young people of the group in everyday life. They embrace the individual interests, hobbies and inclinations of the children and integrate them into your promotions. They help with homework and accompany school learning by practicing suitable learning strategies. They contribute to medium- and long-term assistance and education planning, including their implementation. The team supports you in the business and organizational areas. They form a development-promoting relationship and cooperation with parents, youth office and other institutions. In your tasks, take care of the conscientious implementation of child protection and care protection. Their qualifications and competencies: they have completed training as a state-recognized teacher. For the position we require at least 2 years of relevant professional experience as well as a valid class B driving licence. In relation to children and adolescents, you are responsible for the role of a stable, reliable and empirical reference person. They are able to find creative and constructive solutions in conflicts and behavioural vulnerabilities of children. You are happy to work independently, reflecting the effects of your action at the same time responsibly and foresightly. You can use timely flexible work to your advantage and bring the willingness to shift services. Your handling of proximity and distance to the representatives is professional.
