Surrounded by the impressively restored old town of Görlitz and right next to the city-dominating St. Peter's Church, the Romantik Hotel Tuchmacher invites to charming walks on scenic streets and squares and for a relaxing hike on the Neiße. Built in 1528 by Görlitzer Stadtbaumeister Wendel Roskopf, the Renaissance building, which is accessed by a richly decorated sandstone portal, has precious Gothic vaults and magnificently painted wooden beam ceilings from the baroque period, still essential parts of historical equipment and thus an unmistakable, pleasant atmosphere. In 1998, the clothmaker, consisting of four contiguous houses, was converted to the hotel and refurbished empathy. The romantic hotel is equipped with 60 stylish and comfortable rooms and suites, including banquet and conference rooms, as well as a modern wellness oasis with fitness area. In the 'Schneider Stube'', the wood-panelled restaurant, specialties from Saxony and Silesia are served as well as a fine and creative cuisine.
