You run the occupational safety department at the Bremen University of Applied Sciences and continue to develop it professionally and organizationally. In doing so, you perform all tasks of a specialist for occupational safety according to § 6 ASiG and DGUV Regulation 2. You advise and support university management, executives and university members competently in all matters of occupational safety, in particular in the preparation of risk assessments, operational instructions and instruction. You regularly carry out safety missions, assess working conditions and help establish appropriate protective measures. Priorities include biological and chemical agents, machine safety and technical building equipment. You accompany the planning and operation of new, re- and extension structures from the perspective of occupational safety. You investigate causes of work accidents, document the results and derive preventive measures. You control the effective organisation of initial operational assistance and emergency measures relevant to employment. You carry out practical training and information events and create appropriate presentation documents. For example, You work closely with the occupational physician, the staff council, the representation of the disabled, the fire safety officer and the authorities and are members of the work protection committee. You are responsible for the organisation and coordination of the disposal of hazardous waste from laboratories, workshops and technical fields. You shall carry out the tasks of the Inclusion Officer with a focus on “Construction and Safety”.

You have a completed academic degree (Master/Uni Diploma) in the technical or scientific field. You are successfully trained specialist for work safety according to ASiG/DGUV V2. You have at least three years of professional experience in occupational safety. You are characterized by a high level of solution and service orientation and at the same time understand the requirements of occupational safety in the university. You like to network and understand how to maintain these working relationships. You have a good communication capability, have an independent and proactive way of working and are able to work flexibly and structured into changing themes. Good knowledge of English in Word and Writing (min. B1) and knowledge of German language in Word and Writing at a very high level (min. C1) complete your profile.
