As a trainee in the overall vehicle test, you will significantly advance the progress of our vehicle tests by using artificial intelligence and big data. You immerse yourself in processes, identify potentials for digital optimization and thus shape the future of vehicle testing. In close cooperation with employees from vehicle testing, specialist departments such as Powertrain and EE, measurement technology development and IT experts for cloud services, you will learn about the complexity of total vehicle testing and validation up to RD release. Your work will help develop innovative solutions and increase the efficiency of our processes.

An above-average degree (Master, MBA or PhD) in electrical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, computer science, data science, or in a comparable technical/nature science course Maximum 3 years of professional experience in the automotive sector (outside the studies), e.g. in the automotive industry, ideally in areas such as testing, vehicle simulation, measurement technology, data analysis, AI projects and machine learning At least 3 months of experience abroad (study, international internship, work & travel) Strong affinity for digital technologies and enthusiasm for future trends Ideally experience with AI frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch), Big Data Tools (e.g. Hadoop, Spark), data visualization (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) as well as in handling measurement software and simulation environments (e.g. dSPACE, CANape, CarMaker) We appreciate applicants who show a strong social sense of responsibility Excellent knowledge of English (C1), excellent knowledge of German (at least B2, ideally C1) You are motivated to help shape the transformation at Mercedes-Benz and take responsibility Strong interpersonal and communicative skills, coupled with exceptional analytical skills You show strong team skills and motivate others to achieve their goals
