Studying at the HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration The dual course of study Business Informatics (economic informatics) combines the topics of business management and computer science and prepares you specifically for tasks at the interface between BWL and IT. In times of advanced digitalization in as good as all business and life areas, he conveys important key competencies and expert knowledge in various IT, specialist or industry areas. While all important aspects of business management are taught in the BWL sector (including leadership, marketing, organization, law), the computer science section focuses on the software (conception, programming, software engineering and project management) and database systems. The modular study begins on 1 October and lasts 3 years. Theories and practical times change in this time. The duration of the theoretical phases is 20 weeks per year, which are divided into multi-week blocks. Knowledge transfer takes place in small study groups. The course takes place as 25 percent in English. Practical training at the Service-Bund In the practical phases you get the possibility to apply the knowledge acquired at HSBA in practice. You are used in different areas of our group. For example, in our IT company Computer-Centrum Nord in Lübeck, which is part of our group headquarters. Here you will find insights into the areas of project and process consulting, application consulting, application development as well as network and infrastructure. In addition, you will get to know the logistics, sales or purchasing in our independent wholesale trades at different German locations or gain experience in e-commerce, controlling, or accounting in the group headquarters. You will learn from us to implement the requirements of our trading companies with the most modern methods and tools of IT in solutions. Your tasks always include exciting projects such as e-commerce, ERP or business intelligence.
