In an increasingly fast networked and flooded world, the study provides the foundations for a protective anchor of our IT systems and networks. We make you fit in the areas of modern security technologies, in particular in the following topics: IT Security Basics: protection objectives (confidence, integrity, availability) and threat models Network security: firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, secure network architecture Windows Server, Linux, macOS cryptography: symmetrical / asymmetrical method, TLS, PKI Security Policies & Standards: ISO 27001, BSI-Grundschutz, DORA You work in an inter­esting IT project, are actively involved in the further development of our IT systems, shaping cyber security in our company in these practical topics: Vulnerability management: scanning, evaluation, prioritization of weak points Penetration Testing Basics: Identification of Vulnerabilities by Simulating Cyber Attacks Incident Response: Detection of safety incidents and corresponding analysis and reaction Security Monitoring: SIEM Systems (Microsoft Sentinel) Forensics Basics: Proofing, Log Analysis Cloud Security: Azure, AWS

You have completed the general / subject-bound university graduates or specialist university graduates (the latter with passed delta test) with good or very good results You are interested in burning topics such as IT security, software/web engineering and (accompany) networks You convince us with readiness, structured and analytical thinking, and a large portion of readiness to learn Logical thinking, a pronounced analytical ability and a very good mathematical understanding are among your strengths If you also want to acquire new IT knowledge again and again, this study at WGV is just the right thing for you.
