Investment specialist in portfolio management and AI innovation (m/f/d)

Your duties We are looking for an analytically strong and technology-affine personality as an investment specialist (m/w/d) to support our portfolio management team and our growing KI & Innovation area. The role combines classic investment and fund processes with data-driven solutions and modern technologies. You will get comprehensive insights into sustainable equity investments, support our portfolio managers in day-to-day business, and help develop innovative data and AI applications to improve our investment processes.

Portfolio Management & Investment Operations

Portfolio management support for operational and analytical tasks in daily business Preparation, processing and control of trade orders in portfolio and order management systems Implementation of pre- and post-trade controls including compliance checks, limit controls and voting Control of order releases and coordination with brokers, depositaries and fund administrators Monitoring of trading performance, performance quality and compliance with best execution requirements Coordination of Corporate Actions, Cash Movements and Operational Voting Investment Research & Portfolio Analysis Support for investment analyses, portfolio monitoring and performance allocation Creation and development of portfolio monitoring tools, reports and risk analyses Analysis of corporate events, investment ideas and market information Support for investment committee documents, research notes and analyst meetings Preparation of business talks, conferences and investment updates Data, technology & AI innovation Structure and maintenance of investment databases, data pipelines and analysis models Development and optimization of data-based tools for investment decisions and operational processes Cooperation with AI & Innovation in the development and application of quantitative models and AI solutions Use of statistical methods and machine learning approaches to support research, risk management and process efficiency Identification and implementation of automation potentials along the investment process Reporting, Communication & Investor Documents Creation of fund reports, factsheets, presentations and investment documents Support for customer, sales and management presentations Processing complex investment and data analyses for different target groups

Education & Experience

Master's degree in Finance, Financial Economics, Quantitative Finance, Data Science, Computer Science or a comparable subject At least 1 to 2 years of professional experience in asset management, investment banking, fintech or a related area Relevant internships or practical experience in portfolio management, trading, research or financial data are advantageous Technical & technical knowledge Very good knowledge of Python (especially pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) Good knowledge of SQL and how to use databases Secure handling of Excel and PowerPoint; Knowledge of Power BI or comparable tools are a plus Interest in machine learning, quantitative investment approaches and data-driven research Experience with financial data sources such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv or Morningstar is beneficial Personality Passion for financial markets, sustainable investing and innovative technologies Analytical, structured and detailed working methods High self-initiative, willingness to learn and enjoy innovation Ability to make complex quantitative content understandable Team-oriented personality with pleasure in interdisciplinary cooperation Languages Very good knowledge required required German at professional level; French or other European languages are advantageous
