You develop new elastomer and rubber formulations according to specific customer requirements and optimize existing material combinations. You carry out material tests, characterize elastomers physically and chemically and value test results. You support the scale from the laboratory to production, optimize processing processes and solve quality problems in close coordination with production. You contribute to the development of new product series, adapt materials to new customer requirements and evaluate alternative materials and new technologies. You create technical data sheets and specifications, document development processes and present your development results. You work closely with the areas of design, product development, quality assurance and external partners to implement customer requirements. You ensure compliance with regulators (FDA, RoHS, REACH) and support audits and certifications.

You have a successful degree in chemistry, materials sciences, plastics technology or a comparable qualification. You bring at least 5 years of professional experience in material development, ideally focusing on elastomers. You have a deep understanding of elastomeric and rubber chemistry, characteristics in material sciences and experience with common test methods and test equipment. You have good knowledge of CAD programs or simulation software as well as basic knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001). You are characterized by analytical thinking, self-responsibility, creativity and strong ability to solve problems. You speak fluently German and have very good English skills in word and writing.
