Classification & Declaration – You can classify laboratory chemicals and special waste according to waste and hazardous goods law. Advice – You will advise the waste dumpers at KIT regarding chemical sorting, separation and labelling of chemical waste Waste analyses – In the case of unknown waste, carry out rapid tests, initiate further analyses and create parameters. Sorting & Packaging – You sort and pack laboratory chemicals by substance characteristics and legal requirements and create specifications for labelling the containers of chemical waste. List inspection – You check the lists of notified laboratory and chemical waste regarding the acceptance conditions of the waste management center. Coordination & documentation – You agree on dates and settlements with waste management and transport companies and create the necessary documentation. Dangerous goods transport – You take responsibility for the duties as an instructed person in the transport of dangerous goods.

(m/w/d) Technical training – Completed training as a technician (m/w/d) Professional experience - many years of experience in the field of chemicals, hazardous goods and waste disposal. In addition, experience in sorting, storage of chemicals and handling of dangerous goods transport. Expertise – Knowledge of the classification of chemicals according to waste and hazardous goods law, deep understanding of chemical chemistry and very good computer skills (e.g. MS Office, Lab Management Systems). Soft Skills – Embossed communication and team skills as well as careful, systematic and reliable operation.
