The area ''Audio and Media Technologies'' at Fraunhofer IIS has been shaping the digitalization of the media landscape for more than 30 years. With mp3 and Advanced Audio Coding (AAC), groundbreaking standards were developed. Excellent audio quality for streaming on the mobile network, interactive and immersive sound solutions for TV and OTT applications or the best for digital radios – in these categories you will find our technologies for broadcasting and streaming. Development: You design, implement, test and optimize algorithms and software for multimedia applications across different operating systems. Integration: You develop software and design the adaptation, extension and configuration of DAB/DRM multiplexer decoder solutions for consumer radios, smartphones and automotive applications. Further development: You drive the further development of our Linux-based components and integrations into DAB/DRM multiplexer encoder solutions. Protocols: You develop protocols and applications for digital broadcasting. Verification: You validate results on prototypes, terminals and server systems. Security: You take into account open source software, cyber security and automotive specific requirements.

Complete university studies in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or a related subject Very good knowledge of C++ Ideally Android/Linux and/or Windows/MacOS or iOS App Programming Knowledge Possible knowledge about automotive-grade code diversity mechanisms as well as cloud and virtualization techniques The ability to systematically test software (including testing against specified specifications) and to develop robust, well documented programs A quick conception for standards, specifications and existing source codes as well as a self-responsible, independent way of working in the team Good German and English in Word and Scripture The position is also suitable for start-ups with corresponding previous knowledge and experience from internships, study or completion work.
