The requirements for the digital infrastructure of the Academy for Employees have increased considerably in recent years. In order to support this development, the body undertakes operational tasks in the field of IT management and process development. The digital infrastructure is currently being operated and developed with the support of external service providers. This position is supplemented by a further 50% position focusing on the campus management system and the third-party funding project “Digital Sovereignity for Art Colleges” that works on a sustainable digital infrastructure of the Academy. Planning the Academy's Digital Infrastructure together with Administration and Teaching: You play a central role in the development of the university's digital strategy. You analyze the existing systems of the university, evaluate needs and design new services and services. You actively participate in higher education bodies and institutions and support the Academy in computer acquisitions. You manage the IT budget and, in coordination with the university management, ensure adequate resource allocation for all IT projects and initiatives. You represent the Academy at network meetings, conferences etc. Implementation of the Academy's Digital Strategy You develop the strategic IT roadmap to support the digital transformation of the art academy and actively contribute to their implementation. You design and optimize the workflows of the Academy with the external service providers (GWDG, Landesdienst BW, IT Support, etc.). You monitor compliance at technical level with data protection and IT security and ensure that all systems are up-to-date. You create and maintain a technical documentation of the process and IT infrastructure. You design IT support You establish a ticket system, coordinate and support the 1st level support with the external service provider and are responsible for the 2nd level support. You create and maintain an accessible user documentation.

You have a university degree qualifying for the higher service ideally with reference to information and communication technologies (informatics, business informatics or a comparable subject). You have good communication skills in word and writing (English of advantage) and are able to easily and understand complex technical facts. You have sound knowledge in the field of IT infrastructure, especially in system administration. Practical experiences with GNU/Linux systems as well as free and open source software (FLOSS) are of advantage. Experiences in the art college context and knowledge of relevant actors in the field of digitalization and digital infrastructure in Baden-Württemberg are of advantage. You have practical experience in teams or projects, ideally in the public sector or in the administration. You have knowledge of IT security and data protection (technical part) or are willing to acquire this knowledge.
