Head of Product Management / Lead Product Manager Air Traffic Control Systems (m/f/d)

You take over the technical and organizational management of our product management team (4–5 people) and are actively working on the content development of our products: Requirements management: definition, analysis and prioritization of technical and technical product requirements in close coordination with development, sales and operational users. Roadmap Process: Control and maintenance of the product roadmap taking into account changing customer and market requirements – in close coordination with the management responsible for the higher-level product strategy. System integration: Ensuring the consistency and interoperability of our products within complex ATC total systems. Product documentation: Responsibility for all product-relevant artefacts being up-to-date and complete – from specifications to handbooks to sales-supporting product descriptions. Standards and committee work: cooperation in international specialised bodies (e.g. EUROCAE, ICAO working groups) to co-design functional and technical standards. The position combines a technical operational role with team leadership. In addition to the leadership of the team, active, content-related cooperation in product development is expected.

Prerequisites Multiannual experience in product management of complex software-based systems, ideally in a regulated or safety-critical environment Found practice in requirements engineering: analysis, structuring and precise formulation of technical and technical system requirements Experience in leading small, highly specialised teams Very good knowledge of German and English (word and writing) as well as a fully valid work permit for Germany Of great advantage Professional experience in the ATM/ATC environment or sound interest in air navigation and air traffic management Confidence with relevant standards and standards (e.g. EUROCAE ED-109A, ED-153, ED-87, ESARR 6, EASA DPO) Experience with requirement management tools (e.g. Polarion, Jama, DOORS) Ready to work regularly at the Freiburg site Remarkable Knowledge of modern software architectures (e.g. service-oriented architectures, microservices, containerization) Complete studies in computer science, economic informatics, transport engineering or aerospace technology Ready for occasional missions, mainly within Europe
