About the company

The University of Regensburg is looking for an experienced IT executive with administrative competence, which leads the IT department with 24 employees and sustainably shapes the digitization of the university administration. Perfect for candidates with management experience in the public sector or university environment

You take over the overall management of the IT department and develop a future-oriented IT strategy for the university administration You lead a dedicated team, control secure and stable IT operation and drive modernization, process digitalization and the further development of central systems such as campus management, ERP, document management and infrastructure You act as a strategic partner of the university management, shape change processes and represent IT in internal and external bodies

You have leadership experience in an IT leadership function - ideally in university, administration or public environment You bring a scientific university degree (informatics, business informatics or similar) as well as sound knowledge in IT infrastructure, IT operation, IT security and modern administration IT with You think strategic, act solution-oriented and drive changes with clear communication, negotiation skills and high service orientation Experience in digitization projects, process optimization and the use of new technologies (including AI) completes your profile
