The Department of Procurement (B) in the BMI procurement office buys goods and services for many different federal authorities, foundations financed by the federal government and international organisations. The rich product portfolio ranges from A such as alarm technology to Z such as tents, from radio equipment to helicopters and ships to diverse services. With an award volume of several billion euros per year, the BeschA is the largest civil buyer of the federal government. In Unit B 21 – Optics, Analytics, Special Furniture – take over the management of the specialist department. You are responsible for the management of the staff employed in the unit in all matters relating to service and professional matters. You undertake the planning of tasks and defining work objectives in accordance with technical, organisational, human, economic and legal aspects. You are responsible for the organisation of reference-internal quality measures. You are responsible for the development of concepts and the development of standards for efficient performance of tasks and for the design of “strategic purchasing”, in particular in terms of sustainability. You represent the unit to the outside and conduct the content planning and management of project-accompanying meetings, meetings and workshops with representatives from authorities, associations, industry and trade at national and international level.

a completed academic degree programme on Master level in the field: Physics, Forensic sciences (focus, e.g. criminal engineering), Chemistry (key points, e.g. technical chemistry or chemical engineering), Mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, process engineering or comparable
