Secondary Technology Engineer – Digital Control & Automation Technology (m/f/d)

You create and revise technical guidelines for station control technology for transformers in the network of TransnetBW. You are a central knowledge provider (w/m/d) and an expert on technical consulting for network construction projects and the selection of new technologies in conjunction with current IT/OT security standards, accompany digitization (IEC 61850) in the high-voltage network and thus shape your own future at the energy transition. You can bring your knowledge to national and international bodies and manifest it in standards and new technologies. You will find out about the current station control technology trends at the manufacturers and evaluate how You could be used in your work area together with your company colleagues. In addition, you coordinate external service providers and take over the time and cost monitoring for the assigned services. You have the possibility to choose from a wide range of topics, including: conventional control technology, signal plans, interlocking, station automation, network technology, OT security, counting and power quality.

You have a Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology or bring comparable qualifications. Good knowledge of the equipment in the high-voltage network and professional experience in secondary systems (lead technology, control technology, measurement technology) are also distinguishing you. Knowledge of relevant standards (IEC 60870, IEC 61850, IEC 81346) as well as experience in the planning of secondary technology are a plus but not a must. You have good language and writing skills as well as a class B licence. You can also convince with communication skills, negotiation skills and a targeted working method.
