As Head of Viral Vector Operations (m/w/d), you conduct and manage a platform-oriented organization that deals with the process development and the GMP-compliant production of viral vectors. You will cover the entire life cycle of customer programs – from process development to GMP-compliant delivery – and bear the responsibility for the operational performance, scalability, quality and timely delivery to the customer.

Your tasks: Construction and management of the Viral Vector Operations area Promote process development and GMP-compliant production for viral vector platforms (e.g. Lentivirus, MVA) Ensuring reliable, scalable and high-quality GMP-compliant implementation Monitoring technology transfer, scale-up and production readiness Promoting operational excellence, continuous improvement and “Right-First-Time” performance Management of schedules, budgets, capacity planning and resource allocation Function as leading contact for international customers and support for business growth Leadership and development of multidisciplinary teams in process development and production

Doctorate or Master in Biotechnology, Biotechnology, Virology or a related subject 10 years of experience in the process development and production of viral vectors Knowledge of GMP and technology transfer Proven leadership experience in Biotech/CDMO environments Expressed operational and customer-oriented thinking Experience in scaling teams and production processes
