The BBR takes over the construction tasks of the federal government in Berlin, Bonn and abroad. As a contractor, it is responsible for outstanding and complex construction projects, including cultural structures and research and laboratory buildings for federal institutions, in the field of design and technical requirements, with high demands on building culture and economy. On the Julius-Leber-Kaserne property (JLK), a large number of construction measures are carried out on buildings of a wide variety of uses, such as administrative, laboratory and accommodation buildings, health buildings and sports facilities under monumental and ensemble protection. The JLK consists of approx. 180 buildings with a little over 300,000 sqm of BGF for up to 3,500 people.
