Senior Elastic Engineer (m/f/d)

Own-sponsored planning, design, and implementation of implementations, commissioning and the operation of high-availability elastic platforms focusing on Elastic Security (SIEM), Observability and Enterprise Search. Analysis and elimination of complex disturbances as well as implementation of sound fault analyses in distributed and highly available system landscapes with the development of sustainable solution strategies. Creating technical concepts, architectural decisions and decision-making templates for the continuous development, scaling and optimization of the Elastic platform. Conception, introduction and continuous optimization of automation, pipelines, workflows and operating processes to increase efficiency, stability, security and data quality. Technical management of complex customer projects and work packages including resource coordination, supplier control, and ensuring the time, quality and budget-oriented implementation. Definition, introduction and monitoring of measures to comply with agreed service levels (SLAs), safety standards and compliance requirements as well as to ensure customer satisfaction. Development of strategic concepts for architecture, operation, scaling and lifecycle management of the Elastic platform including Kubernetes (ECK), cloud and hybrid environments. Technical support and technical leadership in presales and acquisition projects through architectural consulting, solution design, effort estimates and technical presentations. Active development of the service and solution portfolio with focus on Elastic Security, Observability, ECK, Automation, Data Engineering and modern platform technologies. Technical advice and technical mentoring of colleagues and knowledge transfer through documentation, workshops and best practices.

Master or Diploma in Computer Science, IT Security or Comparative Qualification – as an alternative corresponding, detectable professional experience. At least seven years of professional experience, of which at least five years in IT administration of complex systems. Very strong customer-oriented and entrepreneurial thinking, also in cooperation with management and C level levels. Professional, trustworthy and empirical appearance in technical and business-oriented contexts. Structured, systematic operation and pronounced ability to prioritize in complex environments. High analytical and conceptual competence, especially in architectural and security designs. Flexibility, loadability and high performance in dynamic environments. Excellent presentation, moderation and communication skills. Wide technical understanding, with proven expertise in Elastic, Security, Logging, Observability & adjacent technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Linux, Cloud, Network, Scripting). Leadership and experience in managing technical teams or project-related leadership. Safe handling of the MS Office Suite. High team, cooperation and conflictability. ITIL Expert certification or comparable qualification. Very good German and English knowledge in word and writing.
