STABLE INFORMATION SECURITY | N N N | | | | | | | | | | | The Information Security Office (RUS-CERT) is responsible for the IT and information security of the University of Stuttgart. It designs and manages the University's Information Security Strategy, advises the management and supports the institutes and institutions in the implementation. As a Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), it is the central point of contact for the coordination and processing of information security incidents. It is also one of the tasks of the CERT to seek weaknesses and compromised systems in information and communication technology (IuK) at the University and to accompany the operators of affected systems in their elimination. In order to find vulnerable and compromised systems in the university's IuK infrastructure, suitable sensors are developed for this purpose. For this, the place of one/one Senior Consultant (m/w/d) (depending on the presence of personal requirements up to E 13 TV-L) in full time. The place is limited to 24 months and is in principle divisible.

coordination and processing of safety incidents; the analysis of threats and processes after facial sprinkles of information security, identification and analysis of vulnerabilities, and coordination of countermeasures; the advice of institutions and bodies on information security issues; the design and implementation of new sensor technology, processes and systems for emergency processing, maintenance and improvement of existing procedures and systems of the staff.

They have a completed scientific higher education (master or diploma) in the field of computer science, information security or a comparable subject of study. Alternatively, you have a completed scientific higher education (Master or Diploma) in another subject and have extensive experience in the IT field with well-founded knowledge. They have the ability to analyse the current threat situation in the area of information security and to design appropriate preventive countermeasures. They are enthusiastic about technology and topics of IT security. They have very good German knowledge in word and writing as well as good English knowledge. They have the ability to work in a targeted and independent manner as well as in the team. They are ready to continue training independently. They have good communication skills and joy in dealing with people. Further desirable qualifications are: good knowledge of Linux system administration and good knowledge of programming in script languages.

cooperation in a computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) in the highly topical field of information security, the establishment of know-how in handling vulnerabilities, specific training opportunities and the acquisition of corresponding certificates; participation in specialist conferences, networking in the national and international IT security community, exchange with colleagues from all over the world, flexible working possibilities (independent working, sliding time) possible after consultation.
