The Audiovisuelle Medien (AVM) team is responsible for the operation and further development of media technology in exhibitions and fixed installations. These include around 200 Debian-based media stations as well as over 1,000 connected AV devices. You ensure the reliable operation of the systems in the team and contribute to their continuous development. In addition, your tasks include: You automate recurring operational tasks – from deployment and updates to monitoring – and also use AI-based tools. You analyse technical requirements and integrate media, control and IT systems into the existing infrastructure. You control technical subprojects and coordinate implementation with internal and external stakeholders. You have a degree in computer science or comparable relevant degree programs or equivalent skills and relevant experience. You bring several years of experience in operation and in the further development of complex IT or media technology environments. You have profound knowledge of Linux system administration, network technology and automation, ideally using bash, python or comparable tools. You bring knowledge in the field of multimedia, audio/video or media control. You have experience in coordinating technical projects and working with external service providers. You work structured, solution-oriented and communicate safely. You are interested in the work in the cultural and museum environment and in the technical implementation of demanding exhibition and media projects. You have German knowledge at level B2.
