As Head of Unit, you take over the overall responsibility for sustainable urban development, including transport and mobility planning, environmental, nature and climate protection and energy use. These include in particular: Total responsibility for orientation, objective and prioritization of all tasks and projects, especially for building plans, land use plans, urban planning concepts, framework plans and development measures Decision in basic technical, organisational and human matters Leadership, promotion and support of employees in the unit Representation of the Unit to the City Council, the relevant committees, other authorities, promoters and the public Preparation of strategic and politically important topics for municipal bodies, including proposals for decisions and expert opinions Total responsibility for budgeting, budget management and economic resource use As Deputy Head of Unit, you work in the above-mentioned areas of activity and project-related. In particular, you will accompany and supervise the land use planning and the development and modification of building plans. In addition, you assess building permit procedures with regard to the granting of public agreement.

A completed, relevant study e.g. the urban and spatial planning (Bachelor/Master), but also a study or training (BL II) in the field of administrative sciences with a focus on urban development and/or relevant technical training Management and leadership skills, preferably proven by several years of professional experience in urban and construction planning Safe knowledge of building planning law, building regulations and other legal standards relevant to the area of responsibility Embossed team capacity, safe and friendly appearance, ability to address-oriented communication Own initiative, independent and committed work Secure handling of MS-Office; Experience with CAD and GIS of advantage
