I'm responsible for the (further) development of Active Directory, PKI and Vault infrastructures at 50Hertz and I'm committed to the introduction of infrastructure as code principles.

We are 50Hertz - one of the four transmission system operators in Germany. Together with the Belgian electricity grid operator Elia (Brussels), we form the internationally active Elia Group. At 50Hertz, over 2,100 people work to ensure that current flows reliably, low-loss and optimally controlled at all times over long distances. As a TSO, we play a central role in the realization of the energy transition in a social, technical and economic sense. Our goal: By 2032 we want to integrate 100 percent renewable energy safely and affordable into the grid and system. Architecture:

designing the architecture of our multi-domain Active Directory infrastructures, as well as policy sets and authentication mechanisms, design of a robust PKI and Vault ecosystem, Identification of technology updates and their added value and inclusion in the technology roadmap, Assessment of performance and compliance of implemented systems, performing regular audits and taking necessary architectural adaptations.

Operation:

multi-zone management of our AD/ADFS and PKI environments, Ensuring compliance with ISMS / ISO 27001 / NIS guidelines, Participation in the 24/7 readiness as part of the 3rd level support for the Windows team (approximately every 4 weeks), Implementation of GitOps for the version-controlled management of infrastructure and code-based changes in AD and PKI.

completed studies or vocational training in the field of computer science or comparable discipline, comprehensive experience in the development and management of directory services, certificates and identities, Good knowledge in the development, deployment and management of Microsoft Active Directory (AD), Programming and scripting skills for automation tasks (PowerShell), competence in the development and enforcement of robust password policies and secure authentication mechanisms; confidentiality with zero-trust security principles and implementation strategies; Very good knowledge of GitOps methods, use of Github for managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), knowledge of Ansible-based Windows management, Language knowledge: German (C1) and English (B2).
