Conception, design and development of a scalable and robust software architecture for unmanned flight systems

Ensuring consistent software development according to defined architecture requirements

Strategic planning of software approval according to DO-178C; Implementation of functional partitioning and separation of software components based on their criticality

Creation and maintenance of architectural documentation in compliance with aviation standards

Definition and protection of interfaces between different software modules and between software and hardware

Selection of suitable technologies, frameworks and patterns that support both performance and certifiability

Technical support of development teams in complex design decisions

Complete computer science or engineering studies or a comparable qualification with profound experience in software architecture

Knowledge of software certification according to DO-178C and experience in the application of safety standards in aviation

Experience in the design of complex, distributed systems and in the application of modern architectural patterns

Deep knowledge of C/C++ development as well as experience with Qt framework and its embedding in complex operating system environments

Safe handling of UML, modeling tools and agile development processes

Experience with modern development environments and tools as well as understanding for integration in CI/CD pipelines

Ability to identify complex dependencies and translate safety-critical requirements into technical designs

Very good knowledge of German and reliable English

Enforcement, reliability, trustworthiness, integrity and ability to communicate safely at both technical and regulatory levels
