At the Friederikenstift site, the DIAKOVERE Hospital gGmbH is looking for an upper physician for hand surgery (m/w/d).

The position shall be filled in full-time indefinitely.

The Klinik für Plastische, Hand- und Mikrochirurgie am DIAKOVERE Friederikenstift as an academic teaching hospital of the Hannover Medical School (MHH) is oriented towards the entire spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgery including reconstructive microsurgery with free lapping plastik. The house is a trauma center with BG approval for the type of serious injury (SAV) and ensures the 24-hour hand surgery emergency care. In addition, the DIAKOVERE Friederikenstift participates in the supra-regional Kleeblatt concept for the coordinated distribution and supply of seriously injured and critically ill patients – currently including those of war injured from Ukraine, who often have complex extremity injuries. Under the new Chief Medical Officer, we pursue the strategic goal of establishing the clinic as a FESSH-accredited Hand Trauma and Replantation Center (HTRC). To strengthen our team, we are looking for a senior physician (m/w/d) with a focus on hand surgery, which actively shapes this path.

Self-responsible surgical and conservative care of the entire hand-surgical spectrum – electively as in emergency, including hand traumatological and microsurgical care (replantation, lapping plastic, nerve seam) Participation in the 24-hour emergency and call readiness of hand surgery Active participation in the construction of structures for HTRC accreditation (including case and result documentation, quality assurance) Instructions, supervision and structured training of assistant physicians Close interdisciplinary cooperation (including trauma surgery, neurosurgery, radiology, hand/ergotherapy) Participation in teaching (MHH) and – in the case of interest – in clinical-scientific projects

Specialist medical certificate for plastic and aesthetic surgery Additional training hand surgery available Proven microsurgical qualification and well-founded experience in surgical traumatology Remarkable: Diploma of the European Board of Hand Surgery (FEBHS) of the FESSH or the willingness to acquire this timely – as a contribution to the targeted HTRC accreditation Membership in the German Society for Hand Surgery (DGH) or readiness Impressed team, communication and leadership skills as well as pleasure in continuing training for young people
