Veterinary Technical Assistance (VMTA), Medical Technical Assistance (MTA) or Biological-Technical Assistance (BTA) (m/f/d)

The Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Office Rhein-Ruhr-Wupper (CVUA-RRW) is looking for a period of two years at the Krefeld site at the earliest possible time and a full-time Veterinary Technical Assistance (VMTA), Medical Technical Assistance (MTA) or Bio-Technical Assistance (BTA) (m/w/d) (until pay group 9a TVöD) for the subject area “Bacteriology and Mycology” in the team “Food Microbiology”. The Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Office Rhein-Ruhr-Wupper (CVUA-RRW) is an official examination laboratory in the field of consumer health as an institution of public law. Microbiological studies of food are carried out in the Animal Health Division.

General activities in the laboratory Operation of technical equipment in the microbiological laboratory (centrifuges, water baths, Stomacher, miniVidas, incubators, PCR devices, safety work benches, etc.) Laboratory disinfection Ordering materials Activities in the field of microbiology Applying food samples for qualitative and quantitative studies vaccination of pathogenic and non pathogenic bacteria and yeasts and mold fungi on specific nutrient soils (use and spatula processes) and identification of microorganisms including evaluation Documentation and input of the test results into the laboratory information system and approval of the results after plausibility check Molecular biological examination by means of real-time PCR for the detection of pathogenic microorganisms of risk level 2 and 3** (salmonella, listingria and STEC) Implementation and evaluation of ring tests and laboratory comparative tests Detection of vitamins in foods with microbiological test systems Investigation of Staphylococenterotoxin by ELISA Quality management activities Implementation of requirements for accreditation according to DIN EN ISO 17025 Quality assurance of technical equipment (guides of equipment books) Quality control of nutrient media Preparation of test methods and standard work instructions as well as forms for quality assurance and documentation Investigation of Trichines
