The course lasts three years and includes theoretical periods of study at the University of Public Administration in Mayen as well as practical periods of study within the administration. As part of the theoretical phase of study, the scientific foundations and competencies for the later activity as an official in the third entry office are taught in fixed groups of students. The legal application of the numerous legal and administrative provisions is taught both in the theoretical parts of the study and in the practical application within the administration. During the practical periods of study, the candidate runs through various departments of a municipal administration. The application will mainly take place in IT areas but also in tasks of general administration in order to gain as diverse impressions as possible. In addition, various workshops take place during the professional practice period. After studying, the administrator takes on varied, exciting and challenging activities in a modern municipal administration. Due to the associated special IT and administrative training, an application in the IT field or in a general area of administration is possible after graduation.
