Scientific Director - Center for Molecular Biology at Heidelberg University (m/f/d)

In this versatile and responsible position, You support the ZMBH leadership in strategic and operational tasks – from interaction with scientific and administrative departments of the ZMBH to cooperation with other institutions of the university, to cooperation with external partners. You conduct research on scientific projects and actors, develop position papers and texts for the application of funding and awards and help plan the development of the institute. You conduct the business of the ZMBH board and are both the first person to speak internally and externally in matters of content and voting requirements with the ZMBH board You promote the exchange of information in the centre, with other university institutions and with cooperation partners and form the interface to the faculties with which we work closely You take on personnel responsibility and run a team of motivated and qualified employees. You serve the institute bodies and commissions as well as our external scientific advisory board. You shall prepare the resolutions and implement them and you shall participate in the university committee work. You participate in academic teaching You will organize selection talks for junior group leaders, scientific symposiums, conferences and visit programs for scientific guests You organize the public relations and our communication via various communication channels

You have a successfully completed university degree with doctoral degree in the field of life sciences or adjacent scientific disciplines You can quickly work into complex topics and have proven experience in the written and visual representation of multi-layered content and relationships You are characterized by a self-confident appearance and a sovereign expression in German. You also have excellent English skills in word and writing.
