We are looking for a:n Customs Manager (m/w/d) for the next possible start date.

As a manager of the Customs department, you lead a team of executives and employees and ensure compliance with national and international standards as well as global DHL standards.

YEARS: · Operational management and control of the area in accordance with DHL internal processes, standards and requirements as well as compliance with all relevant legal provisions, in particular on occupational and health protection, air safety, hazardous goods and customs law · Implementation of environmental and quality requirements according to instructions of internal bodies · Professional and disciplinary responsibility for the employees assigned and their continued development · Implementation of feedback and employee talks, regular team meetings (e.g. EOS workshops) and active promotion of employee motivation and engagement · Training and personnel deployment planning in the field and participation in personnel selection procedures · Coordination with interfaces, in FRA Hub, among others with Sort, NCG, HR, and the Customs Germany Organisation · Contact care and correspondence with customs authorities and external customers · Perception of the escalation function for customs and customs matters · Priority, control and quality assurance of professional tasks · Communication and dissemination of information within the department (e.g. performance dialogues, briefings) as well as across-the-range (e-mail, reports, reporting) and within and outside the DHL network as part of the daily operating business · Support for colleagues by sharing experience and expertise
