The BBK is the head office of the Federal National Crisis Management Agency in Germany. The Digitalization Unit The unit is a central link between BBK, IT and external partners, such as the ITZ Bund and the BMI. As an internal service provider and consultant, it checks and optimizes existing projects and applications and supports and advises on the introduction of new IT solutions. The aim is to optimize business processes through targeted digitization. For this purpose, Z.II.1 takes up digitalization requests from the specialist departments and develops tailor-made solutions. In addition, the unit maintains an overview of marketable products and checks their usability for the Authority. All planned IT projects are also included in the annual IT framework planning, which was responsible for the unit.

Leadership – You take over the disciplinary and professional leadership of the currently 6 employees in the unit, promote cooperation and ensure a result-oriented way of work. You are responsible for the planning of tasks, ensure the quality of the results of the unit and ensure effective and efficient use of resources. Further development – As head of the Z.II.1 unit, you assume a central strategic and operational role within the BBK. You actively shape the further development of the IT operation in the BBK, also to further strengthen its crisis strength. Consultation – Advising the administration and management of strategic and technically demanding IT principles is also one of your tasks. Cooperation – You will maintain a trusted cooperation with the authorities, the leaders, employees and the representatives of interests. You involve relevant stakeholders at an early stage in key decision-making processes and promote constructive and solution-oriented cooperation at all levels through transparency and liability.

A scientific university degree (Master, Uni-Diplom) with a recognisable reference to the area of responsibility (e.g. the Department of Economic and Administrative Informatics, Computer Science). As an alternative, you have a career capability for the higher service. Ideally, you can already demonstrate professional and disciplinary leadership experience. Multiannual practical experience in the field of IT requirements and/or project management, ideally in the context of the public sector. Knowledge of the modelling of business processes in the course of digitalization projects and experience in the selection and introduction of software solutions are advantageous.
