Development, optimization and characterization of downstream processes for proteins, antibodies or other biologics Planning, execution and evaluation of experiments in laboratory scale (e.g. chromatography, filtration, UF/DF) performing typical analytical methods for evaluating process steps and product quality, e.g. SDS‐PAGE, Western Blot, CE‐SDS, SEC‐HPLC, IEX‐HPLC, RP‐HPLC, UV/Vis spectroscopy and aggregate and particle analyses Design of Experiments (DoE): Planning and Evaluation of statistically supported trial series for process optimization Interpretation of analytical data and derivation of process optimizations Structured documentation, evaluation and interpretation of large data sets Creation of scientific reports, presentations and technical documents for internal and external purposes Preparation and monitoring of the transfer from the laboratory to the pilot or production scale Close cooperation with upstream development, analytics, quality and manufacturing participation in the introduction of new technologies and automation solutions; Establishing new purification or analysis procedures and evaluating new technologies Participation in the creation and updating of standard work instructions (SOPs) Presentation of test results and process data in customer appointments as well as professional discussion of results within the framework of project meetings

A completed study of biotechnology, biochemistry, bioprocess engineering or a related subject (Bachelor, Master or Promotion) Practical laboratory experience, ideally in the field of protein purification or biotechnological process development (through internships, completion work or already in everyday work) Experience with market production is a plus Basic knowledge of chromatographic and filtration-based processes and interest First experiences with analytical methods such as SDS‐PAGE, Western Blot or HPLC or the willingness to work on you here Joy of experimental work, careful documentation and a structured, analytical approach Interest in data-based process optimization and statistical methods such as DoE Safe handling of MS Office, especially for the evaluation of data and the preparation of reports and presentations Team-oriented operation and clear communication in exchange with various disciplines Willingness to prepare results in a comprehensible manner and to present them in customer discussions Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing Openness to develop yourself professionally and get to know new technologies
