As a Waste Coordinator:in you support the correct handling and collection of waste and act as an environmental officer at your logistics location. Compliance with regulatory requirements, Amazon standards and waste reduction are the main objectives.• Characterisation of waste including proper storage, separation, packaging, labelling and preparation for collection in accordance with European and local waste regulations. • to carry out thorough and accurate environmental inspections for continuous improvement. This includes inspections of waste collection points, emergency sets for spills, areas for products to be tested, waste management aids, etc. • Supporting the site in the creation of monthly waste analyses to track progress in waste volumes and efforts to improve. • Monitoring environmental incidents at the site and participation in investigations. Close cooperation with the local environmental manager to carry out thorough and accurate investigations. • Physical maintenance and maintenance of waste storage area and all associated safety equipment (eye shower, emergency set, fire extinguisher etc.). • Management of all collections and contact persons for the disposal company. The tasks include sending collection protocols, planning and coordination of collections, tracking of documents for each waste delivery and managing the documentation of waste transport documents. • research into trends, loss of stocks and cost-cutting measures, where appropriate.
