As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you play a central role in ensuring the reliability, performance and operational excellence of our Retail of the Future IT landscape. You will monitor industry-standard SRE practices across multiple application products and product families and close the gap between development and operations. This role combines technical consulting and practical implementation – you will launch distributed product teams and simultaneously apply SRE best practices at different levels. This includes, for example, the provision of state-of-the-art and customized monitoring solutions that help to monitor the operation. In addition, by developing and performing scalable load and performance tests as well as recovery tests, you are actively contributing to ensuring the scalability and resilience of our landscape. These exciting tasks and responsibilities await you with us: Drive Reliability Engineering by implementing Monitoring, Incident Response and Automation to ensure system availability, performance and resilience Scale and develop systems sustainably by entering for automation and continuous improvements in reliability and performance Standardize SRE and Ops practices at program level to ensure a consistent approach across teams Improve Observability by implementing Monitoring, Alerting and Logging standards to improve system performance and resilience Automate system operations by Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to minimize manual errors and increase efficiency. Ideally you qualify for this job: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related STEM subject Multiannual experience in Site Reliability Engineering, IT operations or software development
