The Städtische Klinikum Karlsruhe is the largest hospital in the Middle Rhine region. It is shown in the hospital plan of the state of Baden-Württemberg as a house of maximum care for the region and the teaching hospital of the University of Freiburg. Day by day and around the clock, more than 4,900 qualified employees ensure the care of patients. For the palliative team at the Klinik für Kinder- und Jugendmedizin (Director: Prof. Dr. S. Meyer, M. A.), we are looking for a social worker/in/social pedagogue with a deadline of 11.7 hours a week to 18 months at the next possible time.

The Klinik für Kinder- und Jugendmedizin has 100 beds including the neonatological-paediatric intensive care station with 15 ventilation beds. As a perinatal center level 1, the clinic provides very small early and newborns with congenital malformations such as heart defects or complex misformation syndromes. From birth, we also provide patients with neurological, neuromuscular and neurodegenerative diseases at the stations and via our SPZ. The local children's oncology treats about 30 new diseases per year from the entire spectrum of malignant diseases in childhood and youth. In cooperation with the University Hospital Freiburg in Karlsruhe and the Middle Rhine region, our children's palliative team supports between 20 and 25 patients per quarter from all areas of child and youth medicine.
