Data Engineer (m/f/d)

You develop, operate and optimize scalable data pipelines for analytics and reporting applications. Together with the team, you are responsible for the design and development of our data architecture and the Data Lakehouse on modern platforms (Azure, Databricks) – with your own initiative and a view for the whole You make sure that our data is correct, consistent and efficient – end-to-end from extraction from sources (databases, APIs, scraping, unstructured data) to visualization. The introduction of standards and monitoring of data quality is your area. You work closely with Data Analysts and Data Scientists to provide data models and automations for dashboards, evaluations and AI-usse cases. In this context, you can also perform mutual code reviews and, if necessary, start working students. You actively contribute from the data page to our customer projects and can support pragmatic evaluations here.

A completed study with an analytical focus such as (economic) informatics, data science, physics or a comparable qualification. Multiannual practical professional experience as Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer or in a similar role. Very good knowledge of SQL and Python as well as practical experience with Spark-based, ETL/ELT processes and performant data models (SSOT, Star Schema, etc.). Experience in handling modern cloud environments (e.g. Azure, AWS or GCP) and tools such as Databricks or Snowflake. Touch points with the Microsoft Stack are advantageous. A structured, quality-conscious way of working and enjoying working in new technologies and data structures. You have an analytical way of thinking, are pragmatic and result-oriented. Also in complex projects, you keep an overview and drive themes autonomously. In doing so, you can translate the requirements from the technical perspective into technical solutions and act as a saving ring partner for product management. Very good German knowledge (C1) and good English knowledge in word and writing. With which knowledge you can earn plus points and ideally introduce yourself: Safe handling of version control and DevOps processes (e.g. Azure DevOps, Databricks Asset Bundles). Knowledge of downstream BI visualization tools (Power BI) and cost-effective query optimization. Ideally, your domain knowledge completes your profile for the automotive industry.
