The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees. The SOS Children's Village Niederrhein is active in child and youth assistance, vocational education and counselling. We take care of children, young people, adults and families in special situations of life. Our facility is represented at the Niederrhein in Kleve, Kevelaer, Emmerich am Rhein, Geldern and Duisburg with more than ten locations. Around 300 employees help, support and accompany 2,500 people, participants and visitors. For our SOS Children's Village Niederrhein we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in parttime (25 hours/place), distributed over five working days in the pre- and afternoon areas We are looking for a dedicated social pedagogue who supports our educational teams professionally and together with them develops sustainable perspectives for children, young people and families. In this responsible position, you combine technical advice with practical pedagogical work and bring your experience where individual and well-tuned solutions are required. Technical advice and support: You advise and support our teams in the stationary, semi-stationary and outpatient offerings of child and youth assistance in pedagogical questions, complex cases and challenging situations. Accompanyed contacts: You plan and accompany contact between children or Young people and their families or important references and provide a reliable, value-adding and protected framework. Help planning: You prepare help schedule talks together with the experts involved, accompany them professionally and help to look at developments, needs and objectives in a differentiated way. Training courses and professional impulses: You design and design internal training courses as well as information events on educational and practical topics and thus contribute to the continuous professional development of our employees. Cooperation and networking: You maintain a professional and reliable exchange with the various public youth support providers as well as other relevant cooperation partners and constructively cooperate. Ready to call: As part of the willingness to call, you will assist our employees as a professional contact person and also in special or challenging situations with a sensory and solution-oriented assessment. Your qualifications and skills: Qualification: You have a completed study of social work or social education or a comparable degree of study. Professional experience: You bring together several years of professional experience in the field of educational assistance and know the technical requirements and structures of child and youth assistance from practice. Educational competence: You enjoy working with complex and challenging family and care systems and meet different situations of life with openness, empathy and a professional attitude. Consultancy competence: You can take different perspectives, identify relationships and convey your technical assessments in a comprehensible, appraising and solution-oriented manner. Professional relationship design: A reflected approach to proximity and distance is of course for you. You make relationships reliable and facing and at the same time respect clear professional boundaries. Cooperation capacity: You like to work in the team and appreciate the professional exchange with different professional groups, institutions and cooperation partners. Responsibility: Even in demanding or unforeseen situations, you act responsibly, structured and reliable and keep in mind the needs and protection of the supervised children and young people. Further development readiness: You bring the willingness to continuously expand your expertise, reflect your own educational activities and regularly participate in further and further education.
