Our facility operates state-of-the-art research air vehicles, which are used for both DLR and external contractors to carry out exceptional flight tasks. Specially equipped air test carriers are used at the Braunschweig site, which generally do not have a general authorisation for public air transport.

In our Part 145 operation, you will find a unique, varied and therefore sophisticated working environment that sets the highest standards in aviation technology. You will be part of a dedicated team responsible for the maintenance, maintenance and prototypical modification of 8 different aircraft and helicopter models. Your activity focuses mainly on our aircraft types Dornier 328 and Airbus A320 or Airbus Helicopter H135 and Bo105. Your tasks: Maintenance, control, repair and modification work on our DLR aircraft, including at the Oberpfaffenhofen and Manching sites Ensuring technical readiness through precise fault diagnosis and repairs Support for workshop flights and technical support for our research air vehicles in flight testing campaigns at home and abroad Support and counselling for experimenters in incorporating experimental test systems

completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic Licence for persons entitled to benefit Part 66 CAT B1/C unrestricted flight physiological suitability for use as an on-board mechanic many years of professional experience in the maintenance of aircraft and/or helicopters very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing Do not hesitate to apply, even if you do not bring all of the listed requirements.
