Become an estimated member of DNVs Power System Planning Team in Germany, with the possibility to work from our offices in Dresden or Berlin. They will play a key role in national and international projects and work with different teams within DNV and with external partners, mainly in the region of Northern Europe. Your duties and responsibilities include: Implementation of modelling and analysis of the behaviour of electrical networks and various types of studies on electricity networks. Detailed analyses and investigations on specific topics such as: Long-term and medium-term network development planning for transmission and distribution networks network integration of renewable energy sources, storage and electric vehicles, energy efficiency, reliability and energy quality, Network integration of power electronics (e.g. HVDC, FACTS, hydrogen electrolyzers, inverters) Simulations for compliance with network connection rules Voltage control, frequency control and network stability Troubleshooting, protection technology and control

Implementation of on-site visits, acceptance of electrical tests and practical validation of studies. Participation in high-quality technical reports and commercial offers.

We are looking for a dynamic and competent specialist with the following qualifications and characteristics: University degree in electrical engineering, preferably with specialization in Power Systems Analysis or similar training Knowledge and understanding of the technical core areas (power system studies, network integration of renewable energies and storage, testing and modelling of generation units, compliance with network connection conditions, protection and control) Experience with modelling and simulation of electrical components and networks with tools such as PowerFactory, NEPLAN, Integral, PSCAD, EMTP/ATP or similar German and English language skills in word and writing, incl. Understanding technical and commercial terms Experiences with Phyton or other programming languages are beneficial Interest and ability to interact with customers. Ability to organize project work, deliver results and create a good team spirit. Ready for business trips.
