... connect theory and practice: You study at FH Dortmund and gain valuable practical experience at the Ecclesia Group in Detmold. You start with other dual students and trainees at our training workshop and get to know the basics of the insurance industry. You will get insights into different areas of expertise – for example contract processing, damage management or participate in projects, introduce your own ideas and develop an understanding of how modern insurance solutions are created. You support the testing and processing of damages and learn how we are serious about our customers. In addition, you will not only get to know the classic private customer business, but also work with exciting customers from business, healthcare, social economy, church, industry and logistics. You learn how good customer support works: understand needs, assess individual risks and develop suitable insurance solutions – together with colleagues, insurers and various specialist areas. In the mentoring phase in the 6th and 7th semesters, you will gain deeper insights into a focus area and develop professionally.

You have successfully completed the Abitur or the Fachhochschulreife - with good grades in the main subjects or already a training in another industry and want to start a versatile commercial career with the future. You are interested in economic relationships, want to combine study, training and practice with each other in a meaningful way and want to get to know the world of insurance and financial systems step by step. You are communicative, go open to people and can express yourself in writing as well as oral. You work carefully and reliably because you are aware that customer data, contracts and damages are important. You are customer-oriented and enjoy thinking into different concerns and finding solutions. You like to work in the team, get active, support others and organize yourself well. You are curious, efficient and take responsibility – even if studies, practice and exams become challenging at the same time. Because you want to introduce your strengths, try new things and develop yourself professionally and personally.

Two degrees in one program: You acquire the Bachelor of Science and the IHK degree as a merchant or Wife for insurance and financial investments. A structured start with training workshop, team trainings, apprentice excursions, projects and workshops. Regular insights into different business areas so that you can find out what topics you are particularly excited about and where you can best introduce your strengths. Interne Fachkurse from various business areas, which prepare you optimally for the practice and your IHK exam in addition to studying. Personal care, regular feedback and support by trainees and colleagues who accompany you on your way.
