The Stuttgart networks ensure that electricity and gas arrive reliably at people around the clock in Stuttgart. As a distribution system operator, we are responsible for the operation, maintenance and modernization of the 5,600 kilometres long power grid and the 2,100 kilometres long gas network of the state capital. In addition to security of supply, we are investing in the further development of the networks to meet the increasing demands of the energy transition and to create a sustainable energy infrastructure in Stuttgart. In addition, we serve 74,000 street lights for the city of Stuttgart. As a subsidiary of the Stadtwerke Stuttgart, we support the state capital Stuttgart on the way to climate neutrality by 2035 with around 600 employees.

In the field of network development, the Team Hoch-/leitungbau Hochspannung represents the Stuttgart networks in fulfilling contractor tasks in the projects of high voltage. We are responsible for costs, dates and quality in compliance with all internal and external requirements of work and environmental protection as well as the technical requirements in the projects from initial design to realization and commissioning.
