Your working environment

We develop social future! As an operating IT service provider of the Federal Employment Agency (BA), the IT system house at the main location Nuremberg/Fürth and at various locations throughout Germany with over 100 IT applications, 180.000 connected PC workstations and the associated infrastructure runs one of the largest IT landscapes in Germany and continuously develops them. You will be hired as an IT engineer/in in the IT system house.

Your use as a Senior Professional System Engineer is carried out in the Unit Basic Communication for the Telephony Base Infrastructure Task. Our team includes around 30 colleagues. We are responsible for the operation of telephony, real-time communication and mail services for the entire BA.

Their core activity is the planning and implementation of technical measures to ensure the availability of BA's telephone system. This includes the administration of all BA and Jobcenter phone numbers with around 140,000 users. This allows you to create the basis for all further services in real-time communication to the operation of the BA-Service-Center.

Tasks and Activities

Your duties include the independent implementation of the following tasks and instructions of others

• Planning, management and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructures
• Analysis of system requirements and performance data
• Development, updating and monitoring of software and updating and monitoring of hardware
• Identification and elimination of system problems
• Ensuring system availability and security

Requirements

• Higher education or comparable qualifications (priorities: computer science, business informatics)
