Number: MER000419W The joining technique is also a key factor for the mixing design and thus for the lightweight construction of the body in the context of future vehicle concepts. This means complex processes for production and maintenance, which must be taken into account by detailed start-up planning, commissioning and continuous increase in plant availability. The joining technology therefore plays a special role in product quality as well as process stability and availability, particularly in the start-up of new vehicle projects such as the new AMG.EA sports car platform. As part of the work student activity, many of the information necessary in this context must be structured and prepared – often with the requirement to focus complex facts on management. Since the transformation to electromobility not only affects the vehicles themselves, but also has a considerable influence on the production processes, a transformation team has been established in the maintenance at department level. This has the goal of supporting and promoting the transformation process in maintenance, including through transparent communication and workshops.
