Senior Kubernetes & Infrastructure Engineer - Platform Operations (m/f/d)

Kubernetes operation: You design, operate and optimize our Kubernetes cluster in the adesso data centers (setup, upgrades, backup/recovery, monitoring, troubleshooting). Platform development: You develop our environment into a standardized, secure “Kubernetes as a Service” for internal teams. Security & Governance: You implement security and governance requirements in Kubernetes (e.g. RBAC, Network Policies, Secrets, Certificates). Integration: You connect Kubernetes with our CI/CD and Dev processes (e.g. GitLab, Pipelines, Self-Service Provisioning). Observability: You establish monitoring, logging and alerting for stable and transparent Kubernetes workloads. Automation: You automate processes with infrastructure as code and scripts (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Bash, PowerShell). Datacenter interaction: You work closely with colleagues from virtualization, storage and backup and support hands-on in operation.

Professional experience: Multiannual practice in the operation of Kubernetes clusters in on-prem/computer center environments including setup, upgrades and troubleshooting. Container & Linux: Very good know-how in container technologies (e.g. Docker/OCI) and safe handling of Linux systems. Automation: Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Tools like Ansible, Terraform, Helmet or GitOps (e.g. Argo CD, Flux). Network & Security: Good understanding of Kubernetes-specific network and security concepts (Ingress, Load Balancing, TLS, Policies). Monitoring & Logging: Practice with observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Opensearch or comparable). Datacenter know-how: Ideally experience with VMware vSphere, storage technologies (e.g. Fibre Channel, Ceph) or backup solutions (e.g. Veeam). AI Competence: You use AI tools in your area of expertise, evaluate the results critically and support customers and adessi to use potentials of AI. Language skills: Your very good knowledge of German and good English allows you to communicate safely.
