Through cooperative projects and a multi-level digital infrastructure, You create the basis for modern processes in research, study and teaching as well as administration. The DH.NRW presents objectives and options for action and initiates digitalization-related projects and projects. The office of DH.NRW is located at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum. As a consultant (m/w/d) for country-wide IT infrastructure, you are responsible for supporting ongoing and developing new projects and projects of jointly-used IT infrastructure and corresponding IT services.

Participation in the development and implementation of nationwide concepts for modern, safe and sustainable IT infrastructures in the context of higher education Analysis and assessment of current and future technical requirements for (further) development of nationwide IT services Accompanying and coordinating new project proposals and drawing up appropriate quality assurance measures Cooperation with the national information security institution at universities Project management of initiatives and incubators to establish new IT services Close cooperation with the NRW-wide IT service portfolio management and universities in NRW to coordinate needs Cooperation with similar bodies in other federal states and transnational and nationwide initiatives Communication and committee work

Completed academic studies, preferably in the IT field Extensive experience in IT infrastructure planning (e.g. networks, server infrastructures, cloud) Knowledge of relevant technologies such as containerization, server virtualization, AI infrastructures, storage systems Experience in the design and procurement of IT infrastructures Communication strength in the presentation of complex IT topics to professionals and managers Ideally experience in the application or evaluation of large-scale applications Experience in the handling and moderation of bodies and working groups, if possible in the context of higher education Loadability, flexibility and team capability
