The Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) is one of the largest practice-oriented universities in Bavaria and covers a wide range of subjects with the fields of technology, social and economic sciences, design and languages. We accompany around 9,300 students in more than 70 courses on their educational path. Since 2022, THWS has been certified by the audit family-friendly university in order to meet the diversity of life plans and family forms and to actively promote the reconciliation of the profession and family of their employees. The University Service Sustainability and Properties (HSNL) has as its main tasks the development and structural anchoring of sustainable practices in the university, the administrative and professional management of THWS' construction and renovation activities, as well as the area management and property management. We are looking for a personality that not only manages our sustainability strategy but actively develops and contributes to all areas of the university: You implement and develop the high-level sustainability strategy based on global trends and current research results You control and coordinate the implementation of measures in all areas of the university and establish transparent monitoring As a central interface, you advise all status groups – professorship, employees and students – and moderate participative participation processes You actively promote student initiatives and support projects that make campus more ecological and social You are responsible for creating the annual Sustainability Report according to the DNK High School Code and future legal standards You develop awareness-raising strategies and represent our sustainability goals

What you should bring: successfully completed academic studies (e.g. Master or Uni-Diplom) in a relevant field, ideally focusing on sustainability management, environmental sciences or a similar orientation, or a comparable relevant qualification Experience in the application of common sustainability standards and implementation of projects in the field of sustainability Experience with interdisciplinary teams and work in the university context is desirable high level of commitment and self-responsibility associated with the ability to quickly work into new issues and issues stylistic handling of German language and good English skills
