As a transmission system operator, we secure the power supply for around eleven million people in Baden-Württemberg. We create the infrastructure for the energy transition by maintaining, optimizing and expanding the high-voltage network according to needs. The asset management area has the overall overview of the state and the technologies used in our transmission network. In your role, you develop target network concepts with other transmission system operators (ÜNBs), distribution system operators (VNBs) and other network customers. You identify the need for expansion at the interface between transmission and distribution networks up to climate neutrality. Together with network partners (VNB/ÜNB) you develop the data bases for target network planning. You carry out network calculations (load flow and short-circuit analyses) and document the expansion requirements in the corresponding software solution. Last but not least, you work with network connection requests, network connection studies, demand analyses and the network development plan.

You have completed a study of electrical engineering, energy engineering or industrial engineering with an electrotechnical focus or a comparable level of knowledge thanks to many years of professional practice. You are familiar with the basic construction of European electricity networks and the concept of short-circuit current and power flow calculation. You ideally have experience with network analysis and the use of network calculation tools such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory, INTEGRAL network calculation, Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP), Power System Simulator for Engineering (PSS/E) or NEPLAN and can interpret and visualize the network calculation results (using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio). You are characterized by critical thinking, communication joy and self-initiative. Very good German and English as well as fun on occasional business trips make your picture complete.
