The regional association FrankfurtRheinMain is responsible for the joint land use planning with an integrated landscape plan of 80 cities and municipalities in the conurbation area Frankfurt/Rhein-Main. With the Regional Land Use Plan, the Regional Association manages the spatial development in the Rhine-Main region and creates the planning conditions for a sustainable, climate-adjusted and environmentally sound development of the region. The planning department comprises around 40 employees from different disciplines. The area of landscape planning and the environment plays a central role with its own team in establishing and amending the Regional Land Use Plan and the Landscape Plan.
